Sphinx Expert See Enlightenment at End of secret Tunnel

Workers repairing the ailing Sphinx have discovered an ancient passage leading deep into the body of the mysterious statue crouched at the foot of the giza pyramids.

That the tunnel is old is not in dispute, said giza antiquites boss Zahi Hawass. Evidence indicates it dates from Pharanic times.
What is puzzling is who built the passage Why? And where does it lead?
Hawass said mystery lovers will have to bide their time to learn what the passage is all about. He does not plan to remove the stones blocking its entrance until at least February.
The secret tunnel burrows into the north side of the 240-foot-long limestone statue, about halfway between the Sphinx's outstretched front paws ant its curved tail.

Though Hawass said he is thrilled about the new mystery of the Sphinx, he warns that treasure seekers probably will be disappointed.
Based on long experience with the Sphinx, he predicts antiquities workers will find nothing more thn rocks as they maneuver down the passage.
"But the rocks are their own treasure, because they'll give experts a close-up view at what's happening inside the Sphinx," he said.
Few, if any, structures are as haunting and mysterious as the Sphinx, built by artisans 4,600 years ago as half-man, half-beast.
Most agree the face is that of Pharaoh Chephren, son of the Pharaoh
of the Great Pyramid, Cheops.

Treasure seekers have searched inside the Sphinx since antiquity.
Because so few relics survive from the days of the early pharaohs, some believe there must be a cache somewhere inside.
"It''s amazing,: Hawass said of the newly discovered passage. "after all this time, the Sphinx still holds its secrets.

Greece had its days of glory and Rome its grandeur, but Atlantis survived for two hundred thousand years. Obviously it was a period of time that made it possible for the people to advance technologically, and in many ways, they were more than our scientific peers. for example, they somehow developed the means to see through walls. They also used elecricity, or a form of it, and created a method of photography. They operated wireless communication systems an built ships that both flew in the air and traveled under water. Above all, the atlanteans were spiritually advanced; their history extended back befoe the garden of eden. They could attune to the creative forces, and understood the laws of vibrations and how to use them. Then, progressively, things began to go wrong. The material took precedence over the spiritual, and the selfish abuse of vibrations ;and the forces of nature by those in power brought a backlash that caused nature to turn and ruin the continent. Over a period of time, volcanic eruptions occurred-warnings that went unheeded-until the lands finally sank in to ocean ten thousand years ago.
All the inhabitants, however, did not perish. Taking flight before the final cataclysm, many Atlanteans migrated in colonies to other parts of the world, where most of them apparently were assimilated into other cultures. Evidence of this lost civilization-yet to be discovered-will eventually be unearthed in the Pyrenees and Morocco in one direction, and in British Honduras, Yucatan, and America in the other.
Among the groups that escaped, one included a man named Hept Supt, the keeper of the records taken from Atlantis. his group ended up in Egypt, where he ecame friends with Ra, a priest who arranged to have the Atlantean documents sealed in a Holl of records. This hall is located somewhere between the Great Pyramid and Sphinx. In recent years, Egyptian officials have granted permission for preliminary explorations to be conducted to locate the access passage to the chamber, but so far, the effort has not been successful. While the following reading gives clues to the location, note the implication that finding it is not simply a matter of digging:

This in position lies, as the sun rises from the water, in line of the shadow (or light) falls between the paws of the Sphinx, that was later set as the sentinel or guard, and which may not be entered from the connecting chambers from the Sphinx's paw (right paw) until the time has been fulfilled when the changes must be active in the sphere of man's experience. [it lies] between, then, the Sphinx and river. (378-16)

This vault also contains numerous objects brought from Atlantis-surgical implements, musical instruments, and religious articles, among other. The records are the chronicles of the people from the beginning until the first geologic upheavals, including the accounts of those who settled in other lands. Some of these records were among the archives in the great library of Alexandria, which was destroyed by Christians in 415 A.D. In addition, copies exist in two other locations. One, of course, is in Atlantis, itself, or that portion beneath the sea near Bimini, off the coast of Florida. Copies were also carried to Yucatan by the group that migrated there.
When these recrods are discovered someday, it will be an event of tremendous significance and without parallel-not simply because of their
historical value. Not just because they will verify that Atlantis existed. And not merely because the records will show that this civilization was at least as technologically advanced as our own, if not superior. These facts alone will bring immeasurable ramifications that will dispel former notions about humans develpment. But the most inestimable knowledge the records will reveal is an explanation of the construction of the Tuaoi stone-the cyrstal that, through the Atlanteans misapplication of its power, brought destruction upon the land.
